Everything Dope Comes From Here: A South Side Chicago Tour

Get out of the conference bubble and explore Chicago's historic and vibrant neighborhoods like Bronzeville. As the tour's historian says, everything dope in America comes from Chicago! On this tour, visit sites like the birthplace of Black History Month, the Eighth Infantry Armory, and the Supreme Liberty Life Insurance Building. Gain a better perspective of Chicago's historic South Side and learn how it changed the world, with a focus on the history of the Black press. From the Ida B. Wells-Barnett monument to the former headquarters of the Chicago Bee newspaper, there is much to learn.

The tour will last for approximately two hours, picking up from and dropping off at the conference hotel.
