Meghan Goth is the Executive Editor of LINK Media, a fast-growing local news organization serving Northern Kentucky. She leads LINK’s editorial strategy and community engagement efforts, helping shape a newsroom built on transparency, collaboration, and community-centered reporting. Since launching LINK in 2022, she has focused on strengthening local news ecosystems and developing sustainable models for journalism.
Goth built her career in some of Cincinnati’s most influential newsrooms. At The Cincinnati Enquirer, she was instrumental in building the paper’s digital editorial team and modernizing digital-first workflows. She later oversaw the Enquirer’s breaking news team, guiding fast-paced coverage that balanced urgency, accuracy, and audience needs.
She then joined WCPO, Cincinnati’s ABC affiliate, where she managed the digital team and helped expand the station’s multimedia storytelling. Her leadership and success in that role led to overseeing WCPO’s investigative and enterprise teams. There, she supported high-impact, accountability-focused reporting that reached both broadcast and digital audiences.
Motivated by the need for new approaches to local journalism, Goth left corporate media to lead editorial operations at LINK Media in 2022. Under her leadership, LINK has prioritized accessibility, community engagement, and innovative reporting structures that rebuild trust and create deeper connections between journalists and the public.
In addition to her newsroom work, Goth is committed to journalism education. She teaches as an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky University, sharing her expertise in reporting, digital storytelling, and local news innovation with emerging journalists.
At the Online News Association conference, Goth will present on creating shared news experiences through community-led journalism. She will explore how newsrooms can involve community members in the reporting process to foster trust, increase engagement, and inspire meaningful civic action—drawing from her experience building LINK and leading teams across both legacy and startup environments.
