Jessica Pupovac is a seasoned multi-platform reporter, producer, and editor, and the founder of Wolf Point Media, a Chicago-based podcast production house bringing together veteran and emerging journalists, sound engineers, and creatives committed to telling rigorous, true stories through sound. Her career includes roles at NPR, WBEZ/Chicago Public Media, and WTTW/Chicago Public Television, among other outlets.
She specializes in transforming complex subjects into compelling, meticulously crafted audio narratives, leading revelatory investigations, and rallying teams to produce exceptional work. Projects she has led have untangled secretive government programs, documented sexist and traumatizing disciplinary practices in women’s correctional institutions, and helped secure the release of an innocent man from prison. They have also been recognized with a Gracie Award, several Peter Lisagor Awards, and numerous other local and national honors.
Jessica’s work centers on dismantling systems of oppression and exclusion, rebuilding trust in journalism, and creating media that informs, empowers, and connects individuals and communities.
