Paul Cifarelli received a BSEE from the University of Notre Dame and an MSEE from NYU Polytechnic University in 1989. He is currently a Senior Director of LSEG and Editorial Technology at Reuters, with nearly three decades of experience building and leading large‑scale financial and news technology platforms. He joined Thomson Financial in 1996, where he spent 17 years designing, building, and managing market and exchange data systems across multiple delivery formats.
In 2013, Paul transitioned to news content acquisition, and following the Thomson Reuters divestiture of the Financial & Risk business, led the development of the company’s economic indicator data acquisition platform. Today, he leads engineering for all Reuters Editorial Tools, as well as the systems that support Reuters’ largest client, LSEG, focusing on reliability, scale, and innovation at the intersection of journalism and technology.
